Pastoral Care Ministry

What is Pastoral Care Ministry?

The Pastoral Care Ministry offers a number of courses, as well as ongoing support groups, where we dig deep into the difficult and seldom discussed areas of life.

Our aim is to take you on a journey towards healing and restoration through groups are facilitated by people who have walked these journeys themselves.

These groups meet at our Rondebosch venue during the year, and where applicable, there is a cost for for printing manuals and catering.

PASTORAL CARE COURSES

This 5 week course is for anyone who is dealing with depression and or anxiety. We cover what depression is and how it affects us, and the various causes and treatment options.

For those who are experiencing bereavement or grief from loss of any kind, this course helps facilitate a process of discovery and a healing journey. Within a small group context of sharing and caring, you will find new ways of seeing God, your loss and yourself, as well as find tools for working things out over time.

These courses usually run annually with varied start dates. For more information, please email

Breaking Ground is a course designed to empower individuals to break free from unhelpful patterns of thinking, feeling, and behaviour. Breaking Ground is an 8 week process, facilitating personal growth in: self-awareness; self-acceptance; identity; and trust in God. It also aims to facilitate relief from painful negative self-beliefs, and aspects of the past.

This course is intended to help individuals who are struggling with pornography. It is not a destination but rather seeks to be part of the journey that has lifelong victory over pornography as its ultimate objective. It will be an opportunity for individuals to share their story and to hear those of others in a space and a process that is safe and welcoming.

This course is for people who are divorced, separated, hoping for reconciliation, or convinced their marriage is over. We hope to provide comfort, hope, healing, encouragement, empathy and understanding.
